  1. Sir Ronald fails to mention why BNS and RBC are fleeing the Eastern Caribbean, namely non-performing personal, commercial, and corporate loans, low overall loan levels, low individual deposit holdings, high staff levels and costs, the absence of investment banking, and overall regional stagnant economic growth, all of these factors contributing to low or negative bank profits.

  2. Sir Ronald has also failed to tell us that First Caribbean International Bank owned by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is also making its exit from the region (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-11-08/cibc-sells-67-stake-in-firstcaribbean-bank-for-797-million) thereby leaving not a single First World Bank in the the English-speaking Caribbean.

It seems that all the rats are leaving the sinking Caribbean ship because no money can be made in our countries.
